Shower Pouch was born from two very personal journeys, those of cofounders Michael Houston and Omar Jimenez, who saw a simple but important need.  To feel truly clean when showers aren’t an option.

For Michael, it began in 2012 when his father, a retired Naval officer deployed in Afghanistan, asked if he could create something better than baby wipes, since service men & women had limited options to stay clean without access to a shower.  For Omar, it was about caring for his mom in hospice, where standard hospital hygiene solutions just weren’t good enough.

Inspired by these experiences, Omar and Michael joined forces in 2015 with a vision: to create a body wipe that could deliver a real sense of cleanliness, dignity, comfort, and care when showers simply aren’t accessible. After over a year of research and development, Shower Pouch launched in 2016, setting out to provide more than just a wipe, but a truly refreshing, large-format (2' x 1') body wipe that can be heated for a warm, soothing clean. With its washable and reusable design, our body wipe reflects a commitment to sustainability, echoing the same way you might reach for a well-loved coffee mug. With a single wipe, it’s large enough to leave anyone feeling fresh from head to toe.
